Læsø Saltsyderi accepts payment with Dankort/VISA-Dankort. Payment will only be charged to your account when the item is shipped.

Læsø Saltsyderi encrypts all your card information with the so-called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorized persons cannot read your card number or other information during the transaction with PBS.

Personal data

No personal information registered on Læsø Saltsyderie’s webshop will at any time be transferred, sold or made available to third parties. All information is stored securely and is only accessible to trusted employees at Læsø Saltsyderi.

In connection with any electronic payment, a secure encrypted method is used through the Webshop system. It is an approved provider with approval from E-mark.

The shop system uses so-called cookies to manage the contents of the shopping cart. A cookie is simply the term for a file that is stored on your own PC. It is also possible to ask the system to save your address details for the next visit. If you wish to delete this information at a later date, you can do so via your browser settings. In Internet Explorer, for example, this is done via the “Tools” menu and the “Internet Options” menu item.

During a purchase, we ask for your name, address, phone number and email address. This information is used solely for processing the order. The information is transmitted and stored electronically in unencrypted form and stored for 5 years. The “contract” (purchase agreement) itself is not stored at Læsø Sydesalt in a way that you can later log in and view/change the status, nor do we register the IP address from which any purchases are made. The information is usually not applicable, but can be used in a possible police investigation. All fraudulent orders are reported to the police! In accordance with the Danish Personal Data Act, we provide information about registered data on request and, based on any objections, we delete data to the extent desired.


Læsø Saltsyderi provides delivery by PostNord (unless otherwise specified) to the recipient. PostNord’s quality target for delivery reliability is a minimum of 97% for letter parcels and a minimum of 99% for parcel post. However, please note that these percentages are averages and can cover large local and temporal variations.

Læsø Saltsyderi cannot be held responsible for delays at PostNord. In the event of very late deliveries (several days) or no deliveries at all, Læsø Saltsyderi will of course send a new delivery free of charge. Delivery to Bornholm and certain small islands is not covered by PostNord’s goal of day-to-day delivery, as shipments to these areas can in some cases take up to 5 days. Læsø Saltsyderi always aims to ship orders the day after ordering. As the sender, you can choose the delivery date one day earlier to compensate for this.

Right of complaint

Læsø Saltsyderi provides a 2-year warranty in accordance with the Danish Sale of Goods Act, covering manufacturing and material defects found in normal use of the goods. The warranty does not cover defects, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly caused by improper operation, poor maintenance, violence or unauthorized intervention. Complaints about faults and defects which should be discovered by normal examination of the goods must be notified to Læsø Saltsyderi within a reasonable time. The item can subsequently be returned for repair, replacement or, by agreement, credit. In connection with complaints, Læsø Saltsyderi will pay reasonable return costs.

Returns can also be sent to this address – please note that we do not accept COD parcels. Returns can also be made by refusing receipt or delivering the goods to us in person. It is not a requirement, but expedition is facilitated if adequate information is included in the package – for example, a copy of the order confirmation, registration number and account number of the bank account to which the refund can be made, a copy of any previous correspondence, etc.


In the case of agreed upon shortages, returned goods or prepaid goods that are canceled before shipment, a full or partial refund of the purchase price must be made. Refunds are normally always made by bank transfer, and Læsø Saltsyderi therefore needs information about the registration number and account number of your bank account. This information is not sensitive and can easily be provided by email or other traditional forms of correspondence.
